Windows 10: Open windows on focused screen using multiple displays

Is there a way to make new windows open on the currently focused screen? By currently focused I mean the one with the mouse pointer. It's really annoying when I click on a taskbar icon and the window opens up on my other monitor.

I checked the "Make this my primary display" option, which does not solve this. It seems that when a window gets dragged from the primary display, the position gets remembered and it opens there on the next launch regardless of where the mouse currently is.

Multiple Windows display on Win 10 screen.

Use the WINDOWS + ARROW (left | right | up | down) keyboard combination to snap windows to sides on screen.

Example 1: I have Command Prompt open. I now want to snap it to the left, covering 50% of the screen, I press WIN + LEFT and I get this:






Example 2: Now I decide that I also need File Explorer opened right of Command Prompt, so I press WIN + RIGHT while FE is selected and I now have this:




Example 3: Now I need one more console window and I want to put it below the already opened Console by doing the following:

1. I select the opened Console and press WIN + UP
   
2. I open a new Console Window and press WIN + LEFT followed by WIN + DOWN

That gives me this:

Multiple display resizing

• Did you make any changes to the computer prior to this issue?
  
• Are you using multiple monitors to extend the display or using the multiple desktop screens on a single monitor?

I would suggest you some steps which you can try resolving this issue.

Follow these steps to update graphics drivers.

• Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
  
  
• Search for Display Adapters and expand it.
  
  
• Right click on the graphics driver and select Update driver software.

Uninstall and Reinstall the graphics card drivers and check.

Note: If you are using the multiple monitors to extend the display then please make sure the resolution of both the monitors are set equally same so that there is no issues with the size or any program or an app.
