  1. Opening an app from an icon pinned to the task bar gives strange result

I transferred my software from a Windows PC to Parallels Desktop on my Mac. Now when I open The Master Genealogist from the icon pinned to the task bar, I get warnings that three versions of NOTERM are missing. I have no idea where they came from. When I ignore them, the program opens. If I open the program from its location, I get a normal opening. What has happened?

    :)

Trying to move desktop icon to the task bar. Cannot make it “stick” to the taskbar

    Hi,

To assist you further, let me ask.

    • When you say “Trying to move desktop icon to the task bar”, you mean pin the excel workbook to the task bar?
    • what exactly when you try to stick the excel file to the taskbar?
If you are trying to pin the excel workbook to the taskbar.

    Follow the steps below.

    • Click on the start menu, select the icon and right-click on the icon.

    • From the list, select pin it to taskbar or pin it to start.
Also, you can drag the icon from the desktop and drop on the task bar.

I hope the information is helpful and if the issue still persists, we’ll be glad to assists you.

    Thank you.

  3. Drag file to app in Task Bar (to open that file with that app)

Sorry for the thread title in case it's not clear. I came from a Mac so dragging a file to, let's say, the Mail app in the dock would open a new outgoing message in Mail and attach the dragged file. In Windows, I just discovered that depressing the Shift key while dragging a file to the Thunderbird icon in the Task bar would do exactly the same thing (Yeah!). I know that dragging the file to, let's say, Thunderbird, without depressing the Shift key would "pin" that file to the app (in the Task Bar). Is there a way to reverse this behavior so I wouldn't need to use the shift key for the first example? Thanks for any advice/suggestions.
