    Opening files and no Icons


    Ever since the glorious Oct 2018 update I find it harder to open some files or emails. Click once, twice and more.

    I have not being able to retrieve my desktop icons. I tried one of the solutions I was sent: Settings, personalization, theme and desktop icon settings nothing. I have Windows 10. Why is so hard to open the files? Lucho

    opening .dds files with gimp

    Simply, HOW? I got the DDS plugin but the POS wont open DDS files still. Can someone give me a step-by-step rundown of how to install the DDS plugin for gimp so I know if I'm missing something?

    Windows 10 Office 365 cannot open files from: recent file list


    Thanks for the tip! I followed all above steps.

    So far I can open files from the Recent files list when I enter Word itself, however I still am unable to open any documents using the Word icon pinned to the taskbar:

    Remove Linux Desktop Icons

    I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.
