Windows 10: Opening MS Excel on a Windows 2016 sever is generating: "A fatal error occurred while...

I have been chasing the source of a TLS credential error on my Windows 2016 server. Any help in explaining/resolving it would be appreciated.--------------------DETAILSI have been able to tie it to whenever I open or close the Excel applicationI checked out the TLS configuration of the server....The event viewer shows the following activity around the Open/Close of Excel.I get 2 Schannel releated 10013 errors. I also get a Service Control Manager related informational message of "The Software Protection Service entered the running state" when Excel is opened.This is followed by a Service Con

Fatal Error

I've been trying to format my system but right after it finishes formatting I get a Fatal Error during the Windows installation process. That Fatal Error is a Data Error (cyclic redundancy check). I know that it's because of my hard drives, but how do I fix this issue? I have 2 Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB SATA II Hard Drives in RAID 0. Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. *Smile

 

Openning files in EXCEL 2016

What is going on with Microsoft easy of use?

I just updated MS Windows and suddenly all my EXCEL 2016 files in One Drive only opens in EXCEL 2016 Online. When I select to open in MS EXCEL 2016 I receive a message "You'll need a new app to open this ms-excel" Look for an app in the Store.

It is really getting annoying using Microsoft with all those sudden changes that forces you to spend time trying to find out solutions!!!!

 

MS Excel won't open in Windows 10

I have just recently upgraded from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10. Now I have found that MS Excel won't open at all. I have read other suggestions and solutions posted in the Microsoft Community - and the one thing seems to stick out is that nobody actually
knows definitely how to fix the problem. Sure, I have followed several suggestions - but they all seem to be educated guesses rather than actual step by step instructions to address the issue. I would like to think that the techs at Microsoft would have fixed
this one before releasing Win 10 -after all - this is a huge problem. MS Excel is one of the most important apps in the business world today - yet it fails to perform in the latest operating system. I have had to go back to Windows 7 - and that is where I
will stay. I need to know that MS Excel will open
every time - not just hope it will open some time in the future.

Tread carefully, Microsoft. There are a lot of IT people here who don't think that Windows 10 is the God of all operating systems. And major glitches like this confirm their suspicions. Mac OS and Linux are happily taking in dis satisfied ex-MS Windows users.
Windows 10 could be a brilliant OS - if only you would "get it right" first.
