Windows 10: Opening One AOL account in windows 10 mail app

Hi,

I have several AOL email accounts and all are set up in the Windows 10 mail app. One of the accounts that I use all the time just started yesterday, where it keeps saying it cannot connect. I have gone through all the steps, deleted the account, keep putting my password in and checked all the settings, and when it tries to sync I keep getting the same error message.


Anyone have any suggestions on what my be wrong with just this one AOL account?

• Are you referring to Windows 10 Mail App?
• If yes, then is that an additional account?

If your AOL is an additional account in Windows 10 Mail App, then I suggest you to remove the account and reconfigure it and check the behavior. And if your AOL is primary a account, please get back to us for further assistance.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
