Windows 10: Opening .oxps files in 20H2

There is no option to install the xps viewer as this is enterprise. I have found a wonderful open source program for xps files but it's not compatible with oxps. We can't use an online viewer as it uploads GDPR data to random places on the interwebz. Programs I've found for free or sale seem to all be very dubious sites. All threads regarding this that I've read end up with installing the MS xps viewer or with a solution that only works for xps and not oxps. Can anyone suggest something? We have thousands of these records we can no longer access, annoyi

There are two ways (at least) to edit an .oxps file:

1- Open the file in Microsoft Word.

2- Open the file in a PDF editor.

My Name is Paul one of the Community Expert and a Windows User like you. Regarding the OXPS file extension yes you can open it as long as the XPS Viewer is active on your Windows 10 Machine if not follow these steps to enable the XPS Viewer app.

* Click Start and search and open Settings.

* Click and Open Apps and under APPS & Features Click OPTIONAL FEATURES and click ADD A FEATURE.

* SCROLL down and look for XPS VIEWER and install it.

How do I open an OXPS file in Windows 10?

I am using Micrsoft Edge and cannot open OXPS files.
