    I am trying to open some old .qic backup files on old floppy disks using windows 10. I downloaded File Magic and on installation it was rejected as malware by AVG anti virus. I cannot find any information re: why this app, that is supposedly sanctioned by Microsoft, is not safe to use. If anyone can provide some clarification on this I appreciate you help.

    You may try Windows backup to open the files however it may not be successful. You can try:

    Are there any ways to open a qic file? I have an old iomega zip100 drive and disks with photos I am trying to open on my Windows 10 laptop.

    Simply, HOW? I got the DDS plugin but the POS wont open DDS files still. Can someone give me a step-by-step rundown of how to install the DDS plugin for gimp so I know if I'm missing something?
