Notes:

• sfc /scannow
  
• the 3 DISM thing
  
• fast boot is disabled
  
• 3 month old pc, all brand new
  
• only 1 user account in pc
  
• all programs are installed in ssd (hdd for storage only)
  
• SSD was replaced a while ago (warranty, problem still exist)
  
• GPU was also replaced recently (warranty, problem still exist)
  

Additional problems that might be related:

• Loading textures in games are sometimes slow (baldur's gate 3 to be specific)
  
• Loading to the main menu of a game extremely slow (dota2 to be specific)
  
• Some hiccups in the system occur from time to time

• Ensure your Windows 11 and all drivers (especially for the SSD, GPU, and motherboard/chipset) are up to date. AMD drivers, including Ryzen and Radeon, can significantly impact system performance when outdated.
  

Optimize SSD Settings

• Verify that your SSD has sufficient free space (at least 15-20% free) and that its firmware is updated.
  
• Ensure TRIM is enabled for your SSD by running
  
  fsutil behavior query DisableDeleteNotify
  
  in Command Prompt (admin). It should return
  
  DisableDeleteNotify = 0
  
• Check the SSD's health using tools like CrystalDiskInfo.
  

Adjust Windows Power Plan

• Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options and select High performance or AMD Ryzen High Performance (if available). This can help ensure your CPU and storage are running optimally.

  sfc /scannow
  
  and the DISM commands, which is great. Ensure there were no errors reported or, if there were, that they were successfully repaired.
  

Monitor System Resources

• Use Task Manager or Resource Monitor to check for any processes that are using excessive CPU, memory, or disk resources, especially during the issues you're experiencing.
  

Check Event Viewer

• Look into the Event Viewer for any warnings or errors around the times you notice these delays or performance issues. This can sometimes point to the source of the problem.
  

Consider System Configuration Issues

Malware triggers continuous UAC prompts, making the computer unusable until permission is granted

I was looking at malware that attempts to execute itself as the Administrator, which triggers a UAC prompt. If you select 'No' or try to exit out, another UAC prompt for the same action is displayed. This happens continuously until the user grants the
malware permission to run with elevated privileges.

It'd be awesome if there were a maximum number of UAC attempts that could be made by a malicious program, or at least a maximum in some time period. As it's currently implemented, the user is essentially forced to click 'Yes', since the computer is unusable
until then (the UAC prompts take up the whole screen). Are there any plans to implement functionality that will prevent this type of thing from occurring?
