Windows 10: Opentrack

First thing: my problem does involve the 3rd party open source software but another person with similar although not entirely identical problem has been told that nothing can be done since it's about DirectInput so I figured maybe Microsoft would know what to do.My partner has been playing Arma 3 with the Opentrack tracker and an Xbox controller on Windows 7 and everything worked well. Then he has done what seems now like a grave mistake: he updated his OS to Windows 10. For the sake of security and whatnot. webcam only shows purple and green

Hello everybody.

I use my Trust 16428 webcam with the Opentrack head tracker to play a flight simulator, on Windows 8.1.

Yesterday evening the cam only showed purple and green, both in the head tracker software and in the Windows Camera app. So I tried to disconnect it and reconnect it, I rebooted the PC, I disinstalled the driver and reinstalled it and the problem was not
solved. Therefore, I connected it to another computer, still running on Windows 8.1, to check whether it was the webcam or the PC and it worked properly. I then reconnected it to the problematic PC and it worked again.

This evening it still showed me only purple and green. I connected it to the other computer and it still worked properly; I reconnected it to the problematic PC and it doesn't work anymore.

I hadn't updated anything before it started giving me problems: all of a sudden, it has started to do that.

Any suggestions?

Click to expand... Works just fine I made one with the PS3 eye camera+red filter using normal red LED's and opentrack
The only thing real TrackIR has going for is a monkey to setup curves for game profiles instead of you doing it yourself.
Works great in DCS not so great in SC since the helmet is bugged and doesn't move with the head.
