  1. OpenWRT vs DD-WRT

    Hey guys and gals,

I currently have a Linksys WRT1900ACS and i'm not to thrilled about their stock firmware. I want more options. I've heard of Open and DD-WRT. . . What's the difference? Which one is the best? Are there any other custom firmwares besides those 2?

    :)

    DD-WRT/OpenWRT flashing

    Hey guys/gals.

It would probably be better if I asked elsewhere, but I wanted to ask here first for some unbiased explanations.

I have a nice TP-Link router which is supported by OpenWRT and DD-WRT.
I'm tempted to flash it, but I just wanted to check beforehand, is it possible to re-flash to the stock TP-Link firmware after I flash it to OpenWRT/DD-WRT? Just in case it ever needs to be returned for warranty purposes.

    Cheers,
    Mick.

  3. Cannot change settings of DD-WRT

    Hi Tom,

Thank you for posting in Community.

We understand your concern and we will provide the assistance required to fix the issue.

As you are facing an issue with the settings of DD-WRT which is a third party product and has nothing to do with Microsoft, I would suggest that you contact DD-WRT support as they will be better equipped to assist you with this issue.

    Hope this information helps.
