    Operating system SSD frequently spikes to 100% usage, lagging the computer


    I've recently been noticing random performance drops in my computer, and I noticed that they correlate to spikes in usage with one of my drives, specifically an SSD containing the operating system. I've tried to solve this issue by defragmenting drives, running disk checks and the system file checker, and even reinstalling windows completely, but to no avail. All of this has led me to believe that it's a hardware problem, and the only thing that I could think of that could possibly be causing this is a new monitor that I got. I'm using DisplayPort with the new monitor instead of HDMI, and I ha
