Discus and support Optane Memory and System Imaging in Windows 10 Backup and Restore to solve the problem; I read that Optane memory combined with a regular hard drive can provide SSD-like performance and large storage capacity.     Optane Memory and System Imaging


    I read that Optane memory combined with a regular hard drive can provide SSD-like performance and large storage capacity. This would be a great thing to have in a new desktop computer, assuming there are not a lot of tradeoffs. One thing I was wondering about was system imaging. Does anybody know if system imaging software works with the combination of Optane memory and a regular hard drive? Has anyone ever created and restored an image successfully?

    Preload a folder into memory in the background at startup?

    If that were possible, then there would be no need for an operating system. The purpose of Windows is to manage programs that do load into memory. There are some new storage devices coming online that do what you are asking. An example of this Intel's
    Optane drive which caches both the operating system and your most frequently used programs. You still don't have much control over it, but based on usage, it will learn your patten and make the right choices. For now, it is the responsibility of the executive
    (Windows) to manage which program gets loaded in to main memory.
