Optical cable with my speaker system fading sound

I currently bought an optical cable for my speaker system and it seems it's making my sound fade out, every time my computer is making no noise the panel says "No Digital Data" but as soon as Skype or Telegram or I start music the sound fades in then works with no problems and says "Effect: Stereo" (cause it's put as Stereo). I posted on Logitech support about this too as I'm using a Logitech Z-5500 and see what they say, but I wanted to ask here too if it's maybe a Windows feature with digital cables or optical cables.

    :)

DTS Interactive (5.1 Surround) still not working on new Windows 10 Build 10586

    Hello Rajeshwari,

I appreciate you trying to help but I have already tried all of the suggestions you noted.

    1. I cannot "configure" my speaker system for 5.1 surround sound because it is connected through an optical audio cable.

    2. Microsoft sound troubleshooter is not able to troubleshoot sound problems through an optical cable.

    3. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the most up to date realtek drivers.

    4. The problem is not that I don't have sound, its that I only get 2 channels instead of 5.1.

I feel you do not understand my original question, has DTS Interactive for surround sound been fixed in windows 10 build 10586 or not?

  3. Windows outputting sound that it shouldn't be

After updating Windows today, I am having some sound issues.

I have a Mac plugged in to the optical input of my PC and the optical output of the PC is connected to my speakers. I also have a USB headset with a mic. For some reason the speakers (optical out) are playing audio from the Mac (optical in) no matter what
is selected as default audio device (and even when the optical output is disabled). The sounds also play out of the default device as they are supposed to. No sounds originating in Windows are doing this, however.
