"Optimize Drives" shows strange phantom drives

Hello, can anyone tell me why lately the Optimize Drives window shows all kinds of drives besides the ones that are really relevant, as e.g. C-Drive, D-Drive, etc.The weird ones could be a card reader with 4 slots, but are not active / no cards inserted.I have also two DVD drives ... ??Non of these have been showing before. But I'm not sure what it is I'm seeing ...??attachment: the regular drives are above, but can't expand the windowAny suggestions, pleaseI just recently upgraded to Win11 Pro

    :)

  2. Strange looking volume in the Optimize Drives (Defrag) screen

Interestingly enough, after some testing I can confirm what is really causing this weirdness indeed is the new Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Fact is, at a specific moment as will be shown below, it will not add only one weird looking volume to the Optimize Drives list but even two.

    Check this out!

    Before launching MSFS (all good)

With MSFS running (2 weird looking volumes added to the list)

After MSFS has been closed (one of the weird looking volumes still left in the list)

After rebooting the PC (all back to normal with only proper drives seen in the list)

Optimize drive - does not show in list

After restart, same problem. The drive does not show in the list of drives to Optimize. "Optimize Drives" shows strange phantom drives :(

I do not have access to another Windows computer to connect the drive and isolate the problem.

Optime Drive - Doesn't Recognize External Hard Drive

When I Select "Defragment and Optimize Drives" my external USB 3.0 hard drive is not among the drives listed that can be analyzed or optimized. The reply to another similar post suggested reading and following the recommendations in a separate
article "Optimize Windows for better performance" which I did but found no useful information there. Any other suggestions
    or alternatives?
