  1. Option to Revert to Previous Copilot UI or Risk Losing Users.

The recent changes to the Copilot UI, have negatively impacted my workflow. As a regular user for creating illustrations and refining scripts, I’ve found several key functionalities missing in the new design.Reduced Image Options: The previous version provided larger, higher-quality image selections, whereas the new UI limits both size and quality, making it harder to find suitable visuals.Lost Access to Chat History and Images: I relied on past chat and image history to refine my work, but this has been removed, which disrupts continuity.Stripped-Down Features: Essential chat and script-refin

  2. Copilot randomly got removed from taskbar options.

    Hello,

I can understand how frustrating it is when an essential feature like copilot disappears unexpectedly.

Here are few steps to fix this issue.

    1. Open Settings.

      Click on Personalization.

In Taskbar, check if the Copilot toggle is off. If so, turn it on.
    2. If Group Policy Editor isn’t working, try these steps:
      • Press Win + R, and enter gpedit.msc.
      • Navigate to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar.
      • Look for any policies related to Copilot and ensure they’re not disabled.
If the problem persists, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Thank you.

    Have a great day!

SHAME on Microsoft! Copilot should be OPTIONAL!!!!

    Hi,

The Windows Copilot is an in-built feature, that's why it can't be uninstalled like a regular app. The only options to permanently disable this feature is via Group Policy or Registry Editor. To remove copilot via group policy editor, please follow these steps: Press Windows key + R to open Run dialog box, then type gpedit.msc and press OK to open Local Group Policy Editor. Go to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Copilot. Expand the Windows Copilot folder and from the right panel, double-click Turn off Windows Copilot. In the next window, check the Enabled option and then click Apply > OK to save the changes.

P.S. Please note that this community is just a user-to-user forum and we don't work for Microsoft. If you have any suggestions or feedback about this new feature, you can submit it via the Feedback hub app. Thank you.

    Kind Regards.

Option to Revert to Previous Copilot UI or Risk Losing Users.

    Revert back to previous versions

I installed Windows 10 1 week ago and need to revert to windows 8.1. I have tried both of your suggestion to revert and a) do not have a 'revert to windows 8.1' listing on my settings-restore page and b) when I restart the PC holding the shift key and
select 'revert to previous build' I get a WDF Violation error and the system restarts Windows 10. There is a windows.old folder. I'm stuck, what can I do to restore Windows 8.1?
