Windows 10: Oracle Databse 10g Installation error "Error Number 0x80040707, DLL Function call crashed:...

I have tried installing Oracle Database 10g on my HP laptop. But I was prompted with an Unhandled Exception with Error Number 0x80040707, DLL Function call crashed: GetHostnameDLL.GetHostname message.





I have performed Clean Boot, disabled Kaspersky Security application, and scanned for any corrupt files but they didn't work at all. I have even tried installing different versions of Oracle Database with Standard and Express Editions. Nothing worked. I have tried all the solutions provided on the internet and no solution helped me to resolve the issue.


Any Solution or request for further information is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

InstallShield Wizard 0x80040707

I can't install or update a program called Clear.fi on my computer. InstallShield Wizard starts to install it, but suddently this pops-up and the installation stops:

Error: 0x80040707

DLL-function call crashed: GetDXver.GetDXVersion

The installation is terminated

Do you guys know what is causing it, and how I can fix it?

(I'm running Windows 10, upgraded from Win7)
