Windows 10: Oracle Virtualbox not compatible with windows 10

I have wanted to update my windows 10 version 1909 to windows 10 version 20h2 but i kept getting error that says VirtualBox
Uninstall this app now because it isn't compatible with Windows 10, But i dont even have the app

A several months ago I upgraded to Windows 10. I had been using an old MS DOS database via Oracle VirtualBox in Windows 8.1 so I installed it on the new system and it worked OK and I used it in Windows 10 for several weeks. But, all of a sudden it won't
open! Double click icon on task bar.... nothing, double click icon on desk top...nothing! I tried re-installing it....still nothing! I ran Windows troubleshooter and it says the program is incompatible! It worked at one time!!! Any ideas how to make
it work???

Are you using the latest version of VirtualBox from the website. I can confirm that VirtualBox is compatible and does run in Windows 10, you shouldn't need to run in compatibility mode. If you want to try however you will indeed choose a previous OS. (either
Win 7 or 8 would be fine)

When you uninstalled it did you download again for a fresh install. Have you restarted.

 

Windows 10 and Oracle VM virtual box

Hi,

I am facing the same problem, I got the notice it is ready to upgrade to windows 10, however I need to be sure my windows XP - Oracle VM Virtualbox 4.2.28 is compatible with windows 10 if I upgraded to windows 10.

After upgrading, do I need to uninstall the OLD Oracle VM Virtualbox and reinstall the a new version Oracle VM Virtualbox? And what version I should install for free?

Please advise. Thanks
