Windows 10: Original Email Truncated to 1 Character on Reply in Windows Mail Client

In a pattern I cannot detect, when I reply to some emails, the original email is truncated to its 1st character instead of being attached in full. I am using the Windows 10 Mail client Version 16005.13228.41011.0. It just happened with an email that came from an iPhone. But it doesn't happen with other iPhone emails from this same person nor with most iPhone emails.

Default Mail Client

Scenario 1

Possibly, whatever he/she used to access their email, that client asked if they wanted to make it default and you are not setup in that to send or receive email.

Look through your email client settings and make your default or, if, you are using Windows.

Or, you can try to re-install the email client/app.

Scenario 2

You are saying you had to Dban your desktop; I will assume you wiped your drive and re-installed the O/S and apps. If this is the case you will need to setup your email, again... make sure you have used the proper settings for your email provider (incoming and out going server addresses, ports, pop3, SMTP, SSL and security settings, passwords, log-ins, etc.).
If you overlook one little item, you may receive (or not) mail, but the server may reject your sent mail.

Goto the providers site and look instructions on setting up different email apps.

It would have helped, if, you would have stated what O/S, email client, and provider you are asking about.

 

emails received in my E72 are truncated

Hello All,



Would anyone be able to shed a light as to why my mails are truncated when they are received and sent using the E72.



Our company is phasing out to the Smartphone series and before we could do a mass roll-out,I need to iron out these teething problem before recommending E72.



Is it because of the settings that I missed out;if so,where in the setting that I can change:-



1.The number of character per email

2.To include the original emails to my reply.



I have a case ID with Nokia but till now,no one has gotten back to me and GOOGLE (which has been very helpful) did not return any results as well



My Nokia case ID is 1-10604890805.
