    OS Crash after installing AV


    Hi,We have an ongoing deployment of an AV to our environment. We then encountered the issue below on 2 endpoints:This machine was working but when we installed the AV, the OS crashed. We would like to seek your insight on what could possibly cause this and what resolution can we apply?Thanks!

    Agreed.
    Additionally I would suggest that you make sure that you create a backup image before installing your AV program.

    When I rebuilt my system in December I created 3 images:
    1. OS + Updates
    2. OS + Updates + my "essential" software
    3. OS + Updates + my "essential" software + AV

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
    Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
    If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

    P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
    Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
    What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

    Install Diablo 3 on Linux

    Just install PlayOnLinux? Why did they make step 2 and 3 of this "tutorial"?

    Anyway, looking at the supported software list for PlayOnLinux, D3 is a step in the right direction. Lack of gaming is a factor for a lot of people when deciding on an OS, if more recent games get ported it may help migrate them to their preferred choice.
