  1. OS laggy when minimizing large game

Hi, so I've been working hard lately to improve the performance of my PC. All these issues started occurring when I installed a Windows update awhile ago. The core problem is when I try minimizing a large game Fortnite my OS lags/freezes, sometimes it works fast, other times it takes a long time and I'm forced to open up Task Manager to speed things up. Really have no clue why this is happening, some one suggested it was due to low disk space on my OS SSD, so I uninstalled Fortnite the largest program on that drive and moved it to my HDD. That freed up a ton of space, and now I have atleast 40% of free space available on the SSD that contains the OS installed on it. After I did that, I ran "Check for Updates" again and it seemed to update everything. Although, one strange thing about this is that there always seems to be more updates available every few minutes I try it...kind of strange.

That's the core problem. A side problem that may or may not be related would be actual in-game performance when I play Fortnite. From what I've experienced, it's generally only a notable performance issue with Fortnite. I get pretty bad in-game stutter and such, and often times pretty big lag spikes...I think very few people get lag that bad, but lag has always been an issue with the game itself so I'm not sure about that.

Another side-note, is that I have been experiencing usually on the first boot of the day, at after a few minutes my OS will freeze and I'm forced to restart. After that, usually 3-4 times in a row I get a Windows 10 error stating, "Page fault in non-paged area" and I have to restart again and again, then it usually stops for the rest of the day. However, after I cleaned up my SSD with the OS installed on it, this problem yielded, atleast for now. Who knows, maybe it will do it again at some point...

I'll also attach a Speccy URL to this post that contains system information, if that's at all helpful.

Any help appreciated, desperately looking for assistance as I really have no clue what to do at this point.

    :)

  2. Microsoft Games Very Laggy

Sorry it to so long for the reply, I lost my charger and had to get a new one. I've tried both sets of steps, and it's still exceptionally laggy. There's a 1-2 second delay between when I touch the screen and when something moves. It's happening in
    other Microsoft games, too.

  4. OS laggy when minimizing large game

    Windows 10 games minimizes periodically

    Hello,

To understand the issue better, I would like to ask some questions:

    • Is the issue particular to a game or all games?
    • Do you get any error message?
    • Which build is installed in your computer?
    • Is the issue occurring with Windows Store games?

I suggest you to update the Graphic card driver by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

    • Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
    • Expand Display Adapters.
    • Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
    • Follow the on-screen prompts to update the driver.

Hope this helps. Keep us posted on the status for further assistance.

    Thank you.
