Windows 10: OS Reinstall with TPM

Looking for some guidance,

I know a bit no pro about computers, my neighbour has asked me to sort his netbook out, so I have downloaded all drivers for it.

So I begin, I made sure I got the product key for windows, made a backup of the image at present with 3rd party tool.

Then I downloaded windows 10 made a USB flash drive and begin to format and reinstall windows, I used system audit mode so they can set to their own username and password.

After I reinstalled OS, drivers, programs needed and ran the updates, I then hit generalize and shutdown and handed it back over.

I then got a message saying it’s not working with error message saying “your system need repairing” due to Bcd boot record.

I have tried to repair this without success with what i found online forums

After a few tries I still of getting the same error, just before I reboot from OOBE I tried to make a backup copy of what I got only to find out that I couldn’t due to bit locker encrypted drive.

So I have found out it has TPM build in, I am unable to turn this off in bios.

After so googling, to see if I should clear the keys or not i decieded to, So I reinstalled operating system and drivers again and used the tpm.msc to clear the keys and then ran OOBE, to now to be greeted with an error “\windows\system32\winload.efi

Am I doing something wrong? Can anyone guide me in the right directions as this is the first time I have come across TPM before

TPM update

Don't know if this is the right place for this thread but whatever, laptop informed me that " a firmware update is needed for you security processor (TPM)," now, i looked up what to do and from a microsoft support thing, the last step says to clear the tpm. it has a warning saying to back up my data, i would like to know what clearing the tpm does, and what measures i need to take to make sure nothing goes wrong.

It's clear as mud. As far as I can tell, it's specific to Windows, not necessarily activated programs like MacAfee, games, etc etc etc. MS Office, I have no idea.

TPM Ready with reduced functionality; unable to use BitLocker

Well at this time I have no other suggestions other than to call Asus and see if there's something else that needs to be done or checked on that board.

1. BTW What specific version of Windows 10 are you running?
2. Are you on the insiders track?
3. Also, where are you trying to save your TPM password to?
