Windows 10: OSD notification for webcam

Hi,Why the OSD notification for webcam close automatically and not by clicking on a CLOSE button?If the camera turned ON and I' am not front of my PC, when I'm back I don't know the state of my camera because the notification it will be closed.

I have all the options switched on in notifications settings. I don't think is a program specific issue because the OSD used to pop up with every program accessing the camera (Skype and Chrome included, for example), now it never pops up.

What i'm referring to is a "notification" in the same spot as the Volume and Luminosity OSDs, in the upper left corner.

I should probably "tell" windows that my builtin camera doesn't have a led, but how?

I own an Acer Aspire Switch 10. I recently upgraded to Windows 10.

Soon after the upgrade i noticed that Windows would pop-up a notification (osd, in the same spot as the volume and brightness one) every time something used the webcam. The integrated webcam does not have the usual LED that tells you when it's active, so
that was a nifty feature. Indeed, Microsoft says:

How do I know when the camera is on?

If your system comes with a camera light, the light will turn on when the camera is in use. If your system doesn’t have a camera light, a notification will appear letting you know when the camera turns on or off.

After I did a clean install this particular feature is gone. Camera is working fine, but notification doesn't pop up. Is there a way to re-enable it?

Webcam OSD notifications stopped working in Windows 10

As my laptop (Fujitsu Win10 Pro x64) doesn't have a LED notifying whenever camera is in use, I used the registry keys as per

In the first instance, I set only key NoPhysicalCameraLED in Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OEM\Device\Capture.

It worked for a while (showing a notification in the upper left corner, just like volume or brightness), then it stopped.

I found out that there are two keys in the registry, set also the second one in Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\OEM\Device\Capture

It worked again for a while, then I installed Update 1803 and after a few days, the notifications are again gone.

The OSD notifications for Volume and Screen brightness are visible.

I spent one week searching the internet for a similar issue, but none found.

sfc /scannow showed no issues.

Do you have any ideas, please?
