Windows 10: OSK stopped working after update

After updating MS Edge my OSK stopped working. It works fine in Chrome and Firefox, as well as other programs.

OSK

My wireless Keyboard stopped working and when I try to get into Windows 10, I have used the OSK. NOW When I try to get into Windows 10, I bring up the OSK but as soon as I hit a key on the OSK It starts "Cycling" through highlighting various keys in a pattern
and there is nothing I can do to stop it. It won't let me type anything so I can't get into my computers past the PIN Screen.

Windows 10 OSK Suggestions Pop-Up

How do I stop the OSK from displaying a top-three suggestions pop-up from floating over the text-input area? This is in addition to the suggestions offered on the OSK itself, and it's never done anything useful--usually the opposite. If I turn off suggestions,
I don't get any suggestions at all.

There seems to be two different OSK's. One comes up when there's no attached keyboard (which I set in keyboard/typing options), and the other is available in accessibility options. There's no circumstance in which I want suggestions floating over the text-input
area, and there's no consistent way to dismiss them when they're blocking my view.

I'd submit screenshots, but there's no print-screen key on the OSK.

 

Hyphen key, and Alt code sporadically stop working.

I suggest you to use the on-screen keyboard and check if the same issue persists:

• 
  Press Windows + R keys together.
  
• 
  Type “osk” and hit enter.
