Windows 10: Other User Log In Screen

Hello, I edited the registry Windows 10 Home OS in order to remove the previous owner's name from the log in screen. The registry edit worked. But big mistake. It has a Celeron chip and literally took hours for the computer to just get back to a log in screen. Even worse, now the computer is password protected and I'm locked out. It displays the "Other User" Log In Screen with a couple of options local account or Microsoft account. Thanks for any help in advance.

Black Screen after Log on


Computer boots to windows log on,have no password here.After a minute on log on it go to a black screen,stays there forever. I can get to Task Manager from black Screen,lost on what to do next. Just want my Windows 10 back, not sure what caused this problem. Any Suggestion on what my next step should be?*Sad

Thank you for posting in Community, I understand your concern and we will try to assist you in the best way we can.

As per your query, I am led to believe that you are unable to see the current users who are logged into your computer.

I would suggest that you lock your computer by holding the windows button+L key,
once on the lock screen press any button and in the left corner of the screen you will see the list of users that are currently logged in.

So this is not a BSOD ? Have a Windows 10 disc or USB Flash Drive made ? How are you getting to task manager Ctrl.+Alt+Del ? Any cursor on screen ?
