Windows 10: Other user option not available when logging into computer

Why can't I log in with another ID? I can do it just fine on other laptops, this laptop doesn't have the option when logging in. Yes I've tried to add a new user to the computer, however, even when adding "work account" since it is a work account, I am unable to switch user. Yes, I've logged out, restarted, tried to run GPupdate etc.

"There are currently no power options available" error under START menu

I performed the two steps as suggested in the linked thread.

1. I ran the System File Checker. It found a few corrupt files and replaced them but did not solve the main issue.
   
2. I went through the security policies (had to figure out how to enable this because it wasn't available on my computer) and made sure the right users are added to the policy. This did not do anything to solve the problem.

Still struggling here.

 

Windows 10 Shutdown will not log user off.

I suggest you to follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + R, type netplwiz and press Enter.
• Under Users tab, check if the option for "Users must enter a username and password to use this computer" has a tick.
• If not, then check the option and click on Apply and
  OK.

Restart the computer and check for status.

The error there are currently no power options available happens if the
Shut down the system Policy isn't configured correctly. We suggest following these steps to fix it:

• Press the Windows key and R at the same time to open the Run dialog box.
• Type secpol.msc and click OK to open the
  Local Security Policy window.
• Expand Security Settings.
• Expand Local Policies.
• Click User Rights Assignment.
• Double-click Shut down the system from the right pane to open it's properties.
• In the pop-up window, click Add User or Group, type the full user name or group name for the affected users, then click
  Add.
• Click OK to close the window.
• Restart the computer.

Let us know if the power options in the Start menu are restored after following these steps.
