Windows 10: Out of the blue - text selection on OneNote stopped working and no longer able to use main...

I've been working just fine on my computer for about an hour when suddenly I realise I'm not able to select any text on OneNote any more. I had been copy pasting and such just fine before but now when I hold left click to select text, the selection box disappears almost immediate after letting go. While trying to find a way to fix this, I found out that my search bar is no longer working either. When I click it, it pops up for milliseconds before immediately disappearing. I can open the windows/start button but interacting with anything on that menu also closes it. Also struggling with opening

OneNote "Sync Conflicts"

Sync conflicts error shown in OneNote can be resolved by using OneNote desktop client. To stop seeing this error, can you follow the below steps:

1. Open the page which is having conflicts in OneNote desktop client or in Internet explorer
2. Open the page in which this error is shown
3. On the top of the page there will be a text bar shown. Pressing on the text bar will show conflicting pages for this page.
4. Delete the conflicting page by selecting the page and right clicking on it.
5. Sync the changes from desktop to server
6. After the above steps, open the page in Mobile and tap on "refresh" to get the changes made on the server.

After step 6 is done, sync conflicting error message should be stopped from prompting.

Blue Yeti stopped working

I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you have tried to resolve the issue.

Follow the Methods below and check if that helps.

Method 1: Connect Blue Yeti to your computer and Run
the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter and check.

Hardware and Devices troubleshooter checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

• Right click on the start menu and select control panel.
• In the category select small icons.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click on Hardware and Devices.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2: Follow the steps suggested in the link below. Try the troubleshooting steps one by one from the drop down.

OneNote has take over ... how do I stop it?

Suggestion in post 2 is good first step. When you attempt to print, is this printer selection dialog visible to select the HP printer, like on mine-



If it does, select the HP and go to the Settings screen in post 2 again and check the box to 'Let Windows manage my default printer'. This will push your last used printer into the main printer box (Save as PDF in my screenshot).
Also recommend downloading the HP Smart app from the MS Store. This app can detect and install the printer, check ink levels, debug problems and let you do all your print, scan function right from within.
