Out of the blue, the "Mouse Properties" panel keeps on opening repetitively.

I am using Windows 11 Pro. I am using a wireless Logitech mouse M190. The panel opens out of the blue, it is not correlated with any trigger or button. There are no error messages when the panel opens. There are no viruses on my PC.

  2. Spinning blue circle next to mouse pointer

    Hello Margreet,

The issue that you’ve encountered regarding the mouse pointer on your
Windows 10 computer may be caused by some programs or applications that are running in the background or the configuration for the device. To sort out your concern, we suggest that you manage the
Mouse Properties from the Control Panel to verify if the issue is not related to it. To do this, you may follow the steps below:

    • Click Start, type Control Panel and press
      Enter
      .
    • On the Control Panel search box, type Mouse, and then select it from the search results.
    • Click the Pointers tab, under the Customize section, select the
      Normal Select option.
    • Save the changes by clicking the Apply > OK button.
    • Once you’re done, you may check if the issue persists.

Keep us updated about your concern for additional assistance.

  3. Spinning blue circle next to mouse pointer

This is an incredibly frustrating issue. I do a lot of screen capture recordings and I can't have my mouse arrow popping up a blue circle every 4 to 5 seconds. I'm not sure exactly when this started for me, but now that I'm ready to do some more recording
    I'm noticing it constantly.

Here's a solution I've found to at least stop the blue circle:

    • Start with the Microsoft suggestion of going to the mouse properties.
    • Click on the "Pointers" tab.
    • Select the "Working In Background" pointer and click on "Browse"
    • Select the first mouse arrow option (the one that looks like a normal mouse arrow)
This doesn't get rid of whatever is causing the system to have to keep working in the background, but it will at least make the blue circle stop popping up.
