Windows 10: outdated java version and cannot update due to not knowing admin user & pass

I have the outdated java version 1.7.0_75 on my microsoft surface pro and cannot update due to not knowing the admin user and password.

The ox is slow, but the earth is patient.

For years, I had seen people listing running processes that included java runtime update executable and an outdated java runtime version. Too bad the order doesn't say anything about the installed and running java runtime update executable that doesn't update.

 

Java: Passing variables

By now this is probably not needed still here is a working version of the example provided:

• Java always passes variables by value into functions and never by reference.
  The only way to get a modified variable from a function (besides passing the var as an object array) is to return a new value and use it, which is what is used in the code above.
• You cannot refer a regular method from a static method:
  Don't ask me why, it's just the way Java works.
