Windows 10: Outline Of A Box In The Middle of The desktop

Hi, I have an issue with windows 10 where this white outline of a box appears on my screen after entering a full screen application.

My pc is very new (like a week old) and i'm pretty sure it has been there since i got it. It just started to bother me now.

This doesn't just happen with any particular application, happens with any of them.

It isn't a virus though, it doesn't affect the performance of my pc, it's just so annoying.

My old windows 7 pc did not have this issue though.

I am going to send my pc to my friend to repair it but he said to back up all my games on a external hard drive. truth be told i don't know how to do that and i don't know that much about computers.

i have searched the internet for answers but none of them work.

I'd really appreciate it if someone helped me with this .

Black outlines of floating windows

Hi Nathan,

The issue might occur due to corrupted display drivers or incompatible drivers.

I suggest you to update display drivers from device manager and check if it helps.

To update the drivers, follow the steps below.

• 
  Type “Device Manager” in search box and press Enter.
  
• 
  Right click on the drivers for Display and Touchscreen and select Update.
  
• 
  Follow the on-screen prompts to update.

Selecting desktop gives a white outlined box instead of blue transparent box

When selecting items on the desktop, it is simple white outlined box. I remember it being a blue transparent box. I'm no longer sure is it blue??? Selecting items though file explorer gives a bluish box. How can I change it back to normal?

When selecting with the pointer, I get the following white outlined box:



Any thoughts?

 

Cheap Photo box that will get the job done

WEll i took on this project for PP hes a hardware reviewer and wants to get the professional looking pics for the Pc parts

Materials:

• Big cardboard box

• a razor

• white material 3 yards

• cone lights

• stapler

• medical tape

• pvc pipe about 6 inches longer than your box

• white paint any cheap finger paint would work

the project I'm guessing will cost me $30 if it works out properly
I will post pictures and step by step as i do it
