Is it possible to have different display settings for different virtual desktops?

    Original title: virtual desktops

    Hello,

Is it possible to have different display settings for different virtual desktops?

Situation, one computer screen and one projector.

I would like to use the projector on one desktop as extended screen to show power point, my screen presenter view projector actual slide, the other desktop needs to use the projector as duplicate display so I can show the vm I am running on that desktop.

At the moment when I change desktops the setting stays the same for both, or duplicate screen or extended display and every time I need to change desktops I have to change the settings as well.

Does anyone have any ideas on this?

    Thanks for the help.

  3. Projector will only display PowerPoint 2016 in presentation mode.

Sounds like you are in EXTENDED mode (this is correct for presentations using presenter view.)

If you want to display the same screen on both laptop and projector try:

    WINDOWS KEY + P

You'd be better off posting a screenshot rather than the Word Document. I doubt many people here will open a Word document from someone they don't know.

Anyway, check the view icons in the bottom right corner to see if it's in reading mode.

I've not opened the Word Doc, so without seeing a screenshot I don't know. However, I just ran it through an online Word viewer and it shows the below image. Whether on not the viewer has changed anything, I have no idea, so is this what you're seeing?

If so, it looks like you're running with a limited colour palette. Also, it doesn't look like it's specific to just Outlook, as the taskbar is also showing a limited number of colours. If this is the case and is what you're seeing, make sure your graphics card drivers are installed and up-to-date and also read HERE to see if it's running with 32 bit colour depth.

In addition to that, also read through the article at the link below. When you get to the bit about 'Compatibility Mode', it may also be worth checking those compatibility settings after clicking on 'Change Settings For All Users' as well:
