    Outlook 2016 - Microsoft Print to PDF


    When I try to use the Microsoft Print to PDF function on Outlook I get the message 'Printer not Ready' yet I can can print to any other printer from Outlook and I can print to the Microsoft Print to PDF driver from other applications.

    Anyone know why Outlook 2016 is having this issue?

    Print to PDF stopped working after upgrade to Windows 10 Anniversary Update

    On W!0 after anniversary upgrade -

    1. Able to print to PDF from Explorer

    2. Able to save DOCX file as PDF from MS word 2016

    3. Unable to print to PDF from both MS Outlook 2016 and MS Word 2016.

    4. Disabling Microsoft Print PDF feature from feature option, rebooting, re-enabling does not help.

    5. Making 'Microsoft Print to PDF' as default printer does not help

    Can any one from Microsoft help?

    Windows 10 Mail app won't print.

    No e-mails in the Mail app in Windows 10 will print. Microsoft XPS writer, Print to PDF, 3rd party PDF writers, and my Epson XP 610 all will not print from Windows 10 Mail. All these printers work fine from other apps including browsers Edge and Firefox,
    Word 2016, Outlook 2016, etc. I can manage to get an e-mail printed from Mail by saving it as a .eml file and then opening and printing it from Outlook 2016. If I try to open the .eml file with Mail it opens fine but there is no print option. I can open
    e-mails using the web interface to gmail and then print from there without any problem. This behavior is occurring on a new ASUS notebook running Windows 10, 64 bit, updated to ver. 1703, build 15063.483. From various threads in this forum, it seems that
    the problem has been going on for quite some time with no fix identified. Also, no one seems to have a direct solution to make Mail actually print. Do we now just have to wait for Microsoft to maybe fix it in some future update? Maybe someone has a better
    workaround. If so please let me know.

    I know this is a very old thread but I am having similar issues and was wondering if you ever figured out a resolution to this?

    You can try to remove the Microsoft Print to PDF feature, reboot, and reinstall.

    Thanks for the reply, however i have done that but it didn't resolve my issue. I have run a repair on office and Uninstalled and reinstalled office. I Uninstalled and reinstalled the "printer" also. Ill keep messing around with it, if anyone has anything else to try ill be willing. Thanks!

    Would you happen to have Adobe Pro installed on this PC? If so it could be Adobe Pro is using the same port as the Microsoft Print to PDF.

    The problem disappeared for me a several months ago with one of the office updates that was done by MS.

    Sorry, completely forgot about this thread and as the issue resolved itself I haven't looked any further at the cause.

    Good thought but no, just Reader DC. I will mention this, that the XPS Document Writer "printer" is having the same issue, I can print to any physical printer just fine and I can print to both of the print to file printers from any other MSO Application.

    wimorrison could you export a list of your installed updates and post so lweems can compare? I would also like the list to find the update that addresses this.
