Windows 10: Outlook 365 - Already deleted email, still on screen, delete it again

Good morning.

Terrible thread topic. I didn't know how to better summarize.

Windows 10 / Outlook 365
Using Outlook at work... not a home account.

In Outlook 2010, if I had an email message on the screen, deleted the email from my Inbox (selected the email from the Inbox and pressed the Delete key on the keyboard), and (later in the day when I noticed I still had the email message on the screen) clicked Delete on the email message on the screen, it would just go away.

It is almost like Outlook 2010 understood that the email was already deleted and clicking delete on the email message just closed it.

Not the case with Outlook 365.

Same scenario, but I get the message "The item cannot be moved. It was either already moved or deleted, or access was denied".

Is there a setting to make Outlook 365 function like it did in Outlook 2010 when deleting a message?

Delete mails in Outlook but want to keep mails untouch in webmail

When I deleted an email in outlook and my webmail got deleted too. I want to keep all the inbox mails from the webmail even I complete deleted in outlook. I spend hrs can't think it out how. Any step by step instruction? I'm using IMAP account btw. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

 

Outlook 2007 Deleted items

on IMAP if you set in the config operations for each account you have the problems with -- Root Folder -->INBOX there should then be a deleted items folder. Restart outlook and when you delete items they should then go to the deleted items folder. Use Empty folder to purge the email.


Outlook 2007 and 2010 will work the same

Step 1 in account config -->change-->advanced choose the last tab and then enter INBOX (in English should be Root Folder in the menu)





Step 2 now do New folder on tab 3 and create Deleted Items on the server for the account





Step 3 move mouse to newly created folder for deleted items - your deleted items should now go into that folder after you restart Outlook. You might have to move the underlined mail etc first and then purge.

outlook account config

SO today my friend asked me if i could post this question on the forum:



He wants to configure a outlook account with 1 email, with that outlook account he wants to run the same account in 2 diferent computers he wants the both computer to be connected in network, for example:

• he receives a email and that email is sent to each computer;
• he deletes a email from one computer and it also deletes on the other;
• he moves a email to a folder it also moves on the other computer;

If you guys can help me would be nice!
