Windows 10: Outlook 365 Automatic Replies Missing OK Button: Scaling Issue

I have seen similar questions before but not had any luck in resolving the issue.


I have got several users reporting issues when trying to set their out of office. The pop-up box is zoomed in and they do not have the option to click OK after amending their out of office.


The issue seems to appear because the Change the size of text, apps and other itemssetting in Display is set to 125% when 100% is recommended. Users have poor sight and say that 100% is too small to work with but cannot set their Out of Office when it is set to 125%.


I have tried launching in safe mode and disabling/re-enabling COM add-ins but the issue is the same throughout. I have updated the Graphics card driver on the laptop but has not changed the issue. I tried changing the Optimization setting in options within Outlook but the issue was the same. There are no DPI settings to amend in Outlook properties, like there is with Excel.


I have had some luck changing the resolution of the screen but this distorts the view for the user and is not the best solution.


I was wondering if there was any other possible ways to get the Out of Office box to scale properly with the screen.

Thank you for the update.

This issue is common to high DPI external monitors. To resolve follow these steps:

1. Right-click on your Outlook shortcut, and select Properties.
2. Go to the Compatibility tab.
3. Check the Override high DPI scaling behavior checkbox.
4. Click Apply, then OK.
   
5. Launch Outlook.

Another workaround that worked for other users using external monitor/s is to set one of the external screens as the main display, log off, and then log on.

There is no compatibility tab. I am using windows 10 1803

Can you please list the steps with regard to the second solution you are proposing?

I want to avoid having to navigate the options to eliminate the scaling value of 100% and loging out, each time I am using my computer with the laptop screen only (i.e. not connected to the two external monitors). Windows should be able to detect this on
its own, without me telling windows "hey the two monitors are not connected", please use a scaling adpated for the laptop screen.

Share Photo with Outlook 365

The Photo App has a Share button. The options in the list do not include MS Office 365 Outlook. It offers 'Mail' but I do not use that because I pay for an Office subscription. How do I select 365 Outlook other than copy and paste?
