Windows 10: outlook calendar widget windows 11 missing

Is there a way to get the outlook calendar meetings shown in the Win 11 widget bar. Its missing since long time, I am expecting Microsoft will fix this after every update and I am keep on waiting for it. The recent updates have taken it out, I spoke with the customer care and they said they are aware of it and are working on it. Its so weird that the whole world is moving with AI capabilities and Microsoft cant even provide a simple integration with their own existing app outlook to see the meetings in win 11., Its so bizarre that Microsoft cannot solve a simple integration with their own appl

Calendar Widget opens the Outlook website instead of the Outlook app

When using the Calendar widget, it can be troublesome if it opens the Outlook website instead of the native app you have installed. Let’s explore some solutions to ensure it opens in the app:

1. Set Default Startup Folder:
   
   • In the Outlook app, go to File > Options > Advanced.
     
   • Under the ‘Outlook start and exit’ section, update the drop-down against ‘Start outlook in this folder:’ to Calendar.
     
2. Toggle “New Outlook”:
   
   • The new Outlook preview replaced the Mail, Calendar, and People applications.
     
   • If you need to switch back to the classic Calendar app, just toggle “New Outlook” off in the upper-right corner of the Outlook window.
     
3. Widget Behavior:
   
   • Unfortunately, widgets in Windows may not always open the relevant app directly.
     
   • Clicking on the Outlook Calendar widget might open Outlook in Edge instead of the native Calendar app.
     
   • Similarly, the To-Do widget could open a webpage in Edge instead of the Microsoft To-Do app.

Calendar Widget opens the Outlook website instead of the Outlook app

Whenever I click on an event in the Calendar widget, it open the outlook website instead of the native app that i have installed(The new outlook).is there any way to make sure it opens in the app?

Certain widgets dissapear from your list when they are already set to homescreen, others like shortcut widget are still there as you van have more than one in place. You may like Calendar outlook as an alternativem it's more customisable than the standard
widget !
