Windows 10: Outlook.com remove account.

Hi there

I have recently setup a Microsoft account, and when exploring some features I accidentally setup an Outlook.com account along with my Microsoft account. My Microsoft account and Outlook.com has a @gmail.com

I would like to know if it is possible to completely disconnect Outlook.com along with my accidental email account while keeping my Microsoft account.

Adding email account to Windows 8 Phone with domain hosted through Outlook.com doesn't work!

Setting up my Outlook.com account as a Hotmail account worked.

 

Windows Phone 7 Stuck on Syncing

I began having sync issues with outlook.com accounts on my Windows Phone 7.5 device in early 2013. Ultimately, I fixed the issue by removing the email account from the phone and upon adding it back, selecting "Windows Live" instead of "Outlook."



If I selected "Outlook" any outlook.com accounts would fail to sync unless I removed the calendar content type from syncing. Due to the fact that I imported 100's of calendar items to outlook through a .ICS file import (and ultimately synced through the
Outlook 2013 and outlook.com calendar sync connection), I considered the fact that there may have been a corrupted calendar item which I imported. I did mitigate this by removing outdated appointments and viewing in outlook.com, but ultimately it was the
account type that was the key when adding an outlook.com account back on the Windows Phone.
