Windows 10: Outlook express 365 package

Outlook express unresponsive most times since I bought package about 2 years ago. Been asking for microsoft help does not really happen. Managed to get Microsoft to look online said it was fixed getting other errors now. Got asked to fill out survey a few times how it all went. Asked to reply to me as all problems not sorted gave my email address nothing. What has happened to customer care Nil from Microsoft. Today a PC is a constant update which comes with problems after it. They also have taken the fun out of PCs. Emailed in 2021 on this site nothing from Microsoft

How to install outlook express on windows xp with explorer 8?

This was going to be my suggestion as well. I just wasn't sure if it worked with XP. It is definitely way better than Outlook Express, and I actually prefer it to regular Outlook as well.

 

Disable new search bar in Outlook 365

OK. There is a way to disable this new search box in Microsoft Office 365. For Outlook:

1. Open Outlook 365.
2. On the lower left-hand corner click options.
3. In the User Interface options under the General Tab, click the checkbox Collapse the Microsoft Search box by default.
4. Click OK.

The search box will now disappear. However, disabling this option would only work on that application. If you open Microsoft Word or PowerPoint, you will need to do these same steps to disable the search box (if present) as well. Let me know if this works for you.

 

I'm using dinosaur email-client in the form of Outlook Express 6.0

Follow the instructions below:

1. Shut down Outlook Express
2. Click [Start]
3. Select Find
4. Select Files or Folders
5. Enter the name of the corrupt folder. For example, inbox.dbx
6. Click [Search]
7. When search has found the folder, right-click on it and select rename
8. Call it inbox.old (where inbox is the original folder name)

When you restart Outlook Express, a new folder will be created. You will need to repeat the above steps for each folder that is corrupted. The folders used by Outlook Express are called:

• inbox.dbx
• outbox.dbx
• sent*items.dbx
• deleted*items.dbx
• drafts.dbx
