Windows 10: Outlook failing badly

After years of using Outlook on my home computer to get work email through their Exchange server, the last few weeks it is failing badly. Weird things like not getting messages I can see on my phone and not sending emails, which sometimes end up sitting in the Outbox, and then not sending when I try to send them from Outbox. When this is happening, every time I try to change folder say, go from Inbox to Drafts it hangs, then stops responding. Once it has happened there's no getting it back no matter how many times I restart Outlook or the computer.


I have uninstalled and reinstalled Office 365 three times. Each time Outlook has worked briefly after resinstalling as expected, then started failing again.


Now, after the latest restart of my computer, when I try to start Outlook, the blue "Loading Profile screen" comes up, but nothing else happens.


My guess is the problem is NOT with my employer's Exchange 365 server, because email from my phone works fine. So does Outlook from my office computer.

No. Also I followed the steps on Manage suggested recipients in the To, Cc, and Bcc boxes with Auto-Complete

cleared this list (Empty Auto-Complete List.)
disabled the option ("Use Autocomplete list..") and again cleared the list
relaunched Outlook in between
still those very old email addresses show up.

I give up.

Delete mails in Outlook but want to keep mails untouch in webmail

When I deleted an email in outlook and my webmail got deleted too. I want to keep all the inbox mails from the webmail even I complete deleted in outlook. I spend hrs can't think it out how. Any step by step instruction? I'm using IMAP account btw. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

This is an awkward problem to solve and one I don't think is worth the time and effort.

The OP would be better off either using a modern webmail service like gmail or outlook.com or using a modern email client like Windows Live Mail like FX-GMC suggested or Thunderbird from Mozilla. If nothing else, Outlook Distress was notorious for corrupting its data files and losing all your email in one easy step. Not worth it.
