Windows 10: outlook is glitching open and close window

I have the same issue with windows 10 and 11, the outlook is glitching every time I tried to fixed by removing and adding the account again; plus enabling MFA. It works for a couple of days and sometimes couple of hours and the issue will come back. By glitching I mean that the outlook will open and close at the same time.I have tried to search a lot but it seems that this issue is not resolved yet by the windows Microsoft it self. I am really disappointed

Outlook opens and then closes

My operating system is Windows 10 Pro V2004 19041.388 and I am using Microsoft 365 V2006 build 13001-20384. This strange Outlook behavior started this morning - Outlook opens for about a second and then closes. I have done the full online repair and get the same result. I am able to start Outlook in safe mode and I don't see any problems there.

Anyone have any suggestions?

This is an awkward problem to solve and one I don't think is worth the time and effort.

The OP would be better off either using a modern webmail service like gmail or outlook.com or using a modern email client like Windows Live Mail like FX-GMC suggested or Thunderbird from Mozilla. If nothing else, Outlook Distress was notorious for corrupting its data files and losing all your email in one easy step. Not worth it.

 

Opening a .MSG file created by Outlook 365

Because the apps I had tried and the one I had installed, appeared on the list of possible Apps in the list for opening MSG files, I thought that repairing Outlook might work. So I tried the repair option as Sheltieuk had suggested. When I then tried Start – Defaults afterwards and looked to see what was available to open MSG files, Outlook had appeared on the list! Selected that and it worked.

For once I have posed not only a question but an answer!!
