Windows 10: outlook.live.com not working properly

I'm on Windows 10 22H2 PRO and use the website outlook.live.com for my hotmail email account.This week I am once again losing the text cursor in both the subject line and the box to type the text of the email.I deleted all the cookies and the text cursor came back but now the previews of the links I paste into the email are mostly not showing up. Is there a way to get those things working properly every day without having to keep deleting the cookies? Seriously can microsoft NOT fix this or should I find another email account to use.I do NOT have any other outlook software on this computer.

This was going to be my suggestion as well. I just wasn't sure if it worked with XP. It is definitely way better than Outlook Express, and I actually prefer it to regular Outlook as well.

This is an awkward problem to solve and one I don't think is worth the time and effort.

The OP would be better off either using a modern webmail service like gmail or outlook.com or using a modern email client like Windows Live Mail like FX-GMC suggested or Thunderbird from Mozilla. If nothing else, Outlook Distress was notorious for corrupting its data files and losing all your email in one easy step. Not worth it.

I'm afraid that Windows Live Mail doesn't have the same sort of addressee suggestions that some other programs like Office Outlook have. When addressing a message in Windows Live Mail, the only 'suggestions' that appear are entries in the contacts list that
match the string typed in the address box. Outlook also maintains a list of 'people you have sent mail to in the past who may or may not be in your contacts list,' its
AutoComplete list. Windows Live Mail doesn't do that.

I'm sorry, but it's not quite clear to me what your customer is expecting.
