Windows 10: Outlook mail app on my surface

The Outlook application has suddenly move most of my folders, even the ones I am currently using to Archives. How do I move them back to folders as I used to have them.?


The problem started when I went to Microsoft store on Fifth Av NYC. I had a problem with using outlook email on line on my surface, the server did crash and was very slow. The technician, very chirpy and nice, did not have a clue. He not only did not know how to fix the problem but in the process screwed up my Hotmail settings for the APP.


I use my Hotmail acc on line on my regular pc without problems

Delete mails in Outlook but want to keep mails untouch in webmail

When I deleted an email in outlook and my webmail got deleted too. I want to keep all the inbox mails from the webmail even I complete deleted in outlook. I spend hrs can't think it out how. Any step by step instruction? I'm using IMAP account btw. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Outlook Mail app corrupted?


My Outlook Mail has not downloaded any mails for over 30 days. A notification repeatedly says its settings need updating (password?) and to click Fix. Fix does not work. I have checked all I can, including the password which is correct and works. Fortunately I can keep track of incoming mails with Thunderbird and even with Outlook Mail online, showing that there is a fault in my desktop app. However, I cannot re-install the app because downloading from the Store is kaput at present. I have found an article on this 'new and not uncommon problem', but it offers a host of 'fixes', too many and too complex for me.

Any suggestions?
