    Outlook Mail Crashing on Windows Phone after Update


    Hi,


    My Windows10 Lumia phone updated the Outlook Mail and Outlook Calendar app to 16006.11001.20083.0 earlier today. It now crashes on opening. New mails are visible on the home screen so the accounts are synchronised, I just can't open the app.

    Delete mails in Outlook but want to keep mails untouch in webmail

    When I deleted an email in outlook and my webmail got deleted too. I want to keep all the inbox mails from the webmail even I complete deleted in outlook. I spend hrs can't think it out how. Any step by step instruction? I'm using IMAP account btw. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

    This is an awkward problem to solve and one I don't think is worth the time and effort.

    The OP would be better off either using a modern webmail service like gmail or outlook.com or using a modern email client like Windows Live Mail like FX-GMC suggested or Thunderbird from Mozilla. If nothing else, Outlook Distress was notorious for corrupting its data files and losing all your email in one easy step. Not worth it.

    How to install outlook express on windows xp with explorer 8?

    This was going to be my suggestion as well. I just wasn't sure if it worked with XP. It is definitely way better than Outlook Express, and I actually prefer it to regular Outlook as well.

    I have the same problem. And the same crashing is happen with Calendar. Outlook Mail and Calendar I use every day.
    Unfortunately, obviously the only way will be waiting for a new Windows Update.
    I hope it will be as soon as possible. I'll wait one week, maybe two...
    Anyway, if Windows Update won't be released, this crashing maybe the final nail into coffin to do not use Windows Phone ever.
    It's a great pitty, because I love my Nokia Lumia 930...

    Also my and my wife's phones (Lumia 930 Windows phone 10), where yesterday updated with Outlook E-mail app build 16006.11001.20083.0 and after that the app crashes on opening as described above! This is some cind of collective shut-down from Microsoft and I would at least appreciate some posibility to go back to the previous build! This could soon be the end of my positiveness for Windows phones but also for Microsoft !!!

    Good news.
    Today's update of Outlook Mail to version 16006.11001.20100.0 repair bad behaviour that I described in previous post. Outlook Mail & Calendar are now work fine.
