Windows 10: Outlook problem: red squiggly underlines appearing below English text.

Hello there,I live in Spain; I have a surface laptop bought in the same country which I use to write email using Outlook. The problem is that whenever I choose to write in English, the software instantly decides to underline all my prose with annoying red squiggles. In an attempt to remedy the situation, I have gone to setting and changed the language to US English; this has not worked.How do I fix this problem?

Red squiggly lines in typing

I too have the red squiggly lines appearing when I'm typing in Facebook posts. This just started happening. I don't want to turn off spell check because I still want to have that feature when I type yet every single word I type has the red-squiggly lines
underneath it. It makes me wonder if my keyboard is set to a different language? Any other ideas?

I was using Facebook in Google Chrome browser. I tested in Explorer and Edge and it didn't happen. I also tested in a Word document and it didn't happen either.

Another weird thing that just started happening is my mouse pad gets disabled. I had to search how to enable it again. Not sure why that is automatically being disabled.

I would like to inform that Windows will have a dictionary which will store the spelling of English language. If the spell check is enabled, then if any word is typed with an incorrect spelling, the particular word will be underlined in red indicating a
spelling mistake. To remove the underline, right click on the word and select the appropriate word from the suggestions provided. If you want to disable the automatic spell check, then follow the steps provided below.

• Click on Start and choose Settings.
• Select Devices.
• Choose Typing in the left pane.
• Set the toggler to off for Auto correct misspelled words.

Red squiggly lines in typing

I hate these and know how to turn them off in Word.

However I have just upgraded to Windows 10. Word is set as my editor. However when typing on a website, the red squiggly lines have started appearing automatically, even though I have killed them in Word.

How can I stop Windows 10 over-riding this setting?
