Windows 10: Outlook stopped working on Windows Phone November 7, 2018

Windows Phone - On November 7 2018, my business outlook mail and personal email accounts will not open on my Windows 10 phone. My wife also has personal email on her Windows phone that will not open. If you select the tile, the bright blue windows panel opens and stays on until it simply stops and brings you back to the home page.

How to install outlook express on windows xp with explorer 8?

This is an awkward problem to solve and one I don't think is worth the time and effort.

The OP would be better off either using a modern webmail service like gmail or outlook.com or using a modern email client like Windows Live Mail like FX-GMC suggested or Thunderbird from Mozilla. If nothing else, Outlook Distress was notorious for corrupting its data files and losing all your email in one easy step. Not worth it.

I can still sign into Outlook.com and newer emails are there, but why did it stop loading into my other devices?

Same for me -- hard reset, re-loaded the app, still not working as of 6:22am 9Nov. Any thoughts on how to repair? m

 

Se other tread about Outlook Email and Calendar app update to release 16006.11001.20083.0 , Same happend yesterday to me and my wife on Windows 10 phones (Lumia 930), still no solution and not possible to read mail. Windows phones sabotarged by Microsoft !!! Microsoft better find a solution soon.

 

The Mail and Calendar app update issued earlier this month solved the problem, but ever since the "fix" I have a new issue: phantom button presses/app openings. On more than one occasion I have witnessed my phone -- with no one handling it any way -- perform several actions (or a sequence of actions) all by itself.

In one case -- and while the phone was asleep -- a text came in, the phone woke up, opened the SMS app, highlighted the text I had just received and called the sender. In another instance -- while the phone was sitting on my desk within eyesight -- the phone woke up, chose the "All Apps" button, opened one of the AT&T apps and highlighted the "User Name" section in the log in screen (even going so far as to open the keyboard).
