Windows 10: Overclocking of CPU at idle conditions.

Overclocking of CPU at idle conditions info of laptop belowBefore talking about the issue:1. There is no fast fan sound.2. My laptop is running 24/7 since the past month of restarting.3. Plugged in 24/74. Updated to latest version.5. No issues on any other parts.6. 6 years old laptop7. No app running for most of time remains idle8. Antivirus - BitDefender upto Date - No issues with it.Now see this picture,3.48 GHz at 1% utilization? And speed is only 2.9 GHz.This looks like a joke but its happening all day, every day.If there is any issue with the task manager, other processes would look

Overclock cpu

Visw... Why not overclock the cpu a bit? Its no short notice that the booklet has too little ram and a laggy processor. The benefits of overclocking 200mhz from 1.6 to 1.8 are tremendous, and the battery impact is minimal.



I say go for it. the atom z530 can be overclocked 30%, or 480mhz safely. I suggest no more than 15-20% which would put the processor running at 1.8 or 1.9.
