Windows 10: Overrun of a stack-based buffer in this application. What is it?

Hi, a few hours ago i ran the Sega Supermodel emulator, and when i started a game i got a message like the one in the title stack overflow in a svchost.exe process. Am i infected with malware like Windows says or what? Is the SEGA Supermodel-UI based on a virtual machine? I read someone had the same problem with virtual machines. Thanks in advance.

System: Windows 10 Pro x64

P.S.: The exact message was this: “The system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer in this application. This overrun could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this application“.
P.S.2: It only happened once. I already ran Malwarebytes, Avast Premium Security and Spybot S&D and had no infections at all.

On a Windows 10 desktop today there was this error message...

“The system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer in this application. This overrun could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this application“

Any suggestion as to what the problem is and how to rectify the problem?

Hello! I hope all is well. For some reason, out of nowhere, my window's PC began to restart the explorer.exe process over and over and over. It continues to crash and restart. I received the following error message when I booted in safe mode:

The system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer in this application. This overrun could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this application.

I can't do anything when I boot into normal mode because my computer restarts explorer.exe so frequently that its impossible to get things running before it's closed and restarted.

Steps I've taken:

Ran malware scan - results were nothing

Ran sfc scannow - results nothing

Ran Reset computer but keep apps and files - results nothing

What do I need to do to fix this?
