Windows 10: OVERTYPE MODE NO LONGER WORKS IN AOL GOLD DESKTOP MAIL

Overtype mode using the Insert key had worked fine in AOL Gold Desktop email up until the last couple months or so and then it suddenly stopped working. AOL Gold works with Win10. Overtype mode is enabled in Word. How do I enable it to work again in AOL? Also, I just noticed the Use Overtype Mode box is now greyed out whereas it wasn't an hour ago.

First off, You should know the fact that to download AOL gold
desktop successfully on your computer there are some minimum systems requirements:

• Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 installed
• At least 512 MB free space on the hard drive
• 1 GB RAM
• Internet connection
• Internet Explorer 7+

To set AOL Desktop Gold as your default browser and/or email client follow the steps below:

• Open AOL Desktop Gold.
• Log in using your username and password.

AOL Gold Problem - Delayed Sign On

The logs were to make sure there were no obvious problems with:
windows operating syste (scannow)
windows component store (restorehealth)
drive file system (chkdsk switch)
etc.
No major problems were seen so the next step was clean boot.

If the AOL software remains problematic despite all steps including clean install > consider using web browser and smartphone access > cancel AOL gold and save money
