Windows 10: Overzealous Windows Hello security

I just received a new Windows 10 laptop. Everything's mostly fine, including Windows Hello sign-in through the webcam. But, there is some security feature where, if I step away from the laptop for literally as little as 10 seconds, the screen goes dark and I have to stick my face in front of the webcam to sign in again.

This isn't a power setting -- those are set to not turn off the screen or go to sleep for some minutes. There's a setting that looks promising in Accounts/Sign-in options/Require sign-in, but it's greyed out and says "Windows Hello is preventing some options from being shown.", in red.

Is there a way to keep Windows Hello for signing in, but to not be so aggressive blanking the screen if I step away?

Hello,

I m using HP envy 3090nr laptop having windows 7 home premium.

I was using norton internet security previously which was very good, no virus problem so far.

But i want to know any other internet security which is better or similar and free?

Give your suggestions for best free as well as best paid internet security.

Also give your opinion for microsoft security essentials.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

That made me so facepalm. Some people have absolutely no clue. I hope they don't take you for granted with all this you're doing for them.

SonicWall is a good security product, so Mindweaver's suggestion sounds like a good one and should make for a rather bigger baby step. Let's hope they take it.
