    I suggest you to give administrator privileges to the user account and check if it helps.

    To edit account types on your PC

    You must be signed in as an administrator to follow these steps.

    • Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, and then tap
      Change PC settings.

      (If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, click
      Settings, and then click Change PC settings.)
    • Tap or click Accounts, and then tap or click Other accounts.
    • Tap or click the account you want to change, and then tap or click
      Edit
      .
    • Tap or click the Account type box, choose an account type, and then tap or click
      OK.

    • What is the available free space on the HDD?

    • From which version of Windows are you trying to upgrade to Windows 10?
