My laptop started to bluescreen recently w/ windows 10. It has this message: Page_fault_in_nonpaged_area (cpuz137_x32.sys)
I have run a memory program, and it didn't find any errors in 1 pass, I am going to let it run over night and see if that helps.
here are the .dmp files: Attachment 7151
(I hope I did those right, can't get into windows for very long and wine is having problems that I have no time to troubleshoot)

EDIT: It was a program called "Agomo" by Piriform, who also has the Speccy program. It apparently installed cpu-z with the rest of the program. Uninstalling it fixed the problem.

    :)

Rerun the data collection app and let it run for 15 minutes (if the system will stay on that long).
I need the MSINFO32.nfo report and the systeminfo.txt report
You can also try this for the MSINFO32 report: http://omgdebugging.com/category/tools-downloads/
It's written by blueelvis and will generate the MSINFO32 report automatically.

Meanwhile, uninstall CPU-Z and see if that stops it.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Your BIOS dates from 2006. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please be advised that flashing the BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard. If possible, use the "inside Windows" flash mechanism (if your OEM provides one).

It's very likely that this system isn't compatible w/Win10 (or even Win8/8.1 for that matter). We will continue to try and fix your problems, but there may come a time where you have to decide that the system just isn't compatible. The fix (at that point) is to revert to Win7 or even WinVista in order to achieve stability.

    Good luck!

We have a script that runs various reports (to include the memory dumps). Please follow the directions here: BSOD - Posting Instructions

The extra reports let us have a look at the system as a whole (while the memory dumps are just a snapshot of the actual crash).

CPU-Z does not come with Windows 10. Where did you get your download from?
Could you have downloaded it while trying to install another tools (such as GPU-Z?)?
What incompatible program (from post #3 ) were you trying to install?

Please note that I went back to my original post and struckthrough some of the drivers:
-GEARAspiWDM.sys is a driver from iTunes whose latest version is from 2012
-Drivers starting with MpKsl are related to Microsoft Security Essentials/Windows Defender - updates are gotten from Windows Updates.
-The rest of the drivers are Windows drivers that can only be updated through Windows Update (to include the intelppm.sys driver).

  10. I couldn't get it to work, I will keep trying.
the cpuz...sys file was in the windows/temp/cpuz137 directory, in the /temp folder was also a speccy folder. Could this be related?
cpuz is not installed on this system

    Hi Glorfindel ^_^,

Are you talking about the MSINFO Collector? May I know what kind of problem are you facing with it?

Furthermore, remove any kind of program like Advanced System Care 8 or programs similar to that. I had this very similar problem over another thread and I found that it was the one causing the CPU-Z Driver to appear in the Temporary Folder and then this path was being flagged by the Dumps as well.

    Regards,
    Pranav

Don't worry about it (CPU-Z) for now. Should it continue to show up, we'll take steps to remove it manually.

We will continue to troubleshoot any problems that you may have with blueelvis' MSINFO Collector in this topic.

In order to do a detailed analysis, I'll need the MSINFO32 report and the SystemInfo report.
Here's how to do them (instructions for Win8, I haven't tried this with Win10):

Also, I need ALL of the memory dumps. Please go to C:\Windows\Minidump and zip up it's contents. You may have to copy it to your Desktop in order to zip it up. Then upload all 3 things with your next post.

I can't copy the dumps, however, I did get that BSOD program running and got them that way. Here is the info: Attachment 7343
    Attachment 7344

Why can't you copy the dumps? What error messages does it give you when you try?

    Thank you for the reports!

I think that the most likely problem is the CPU-Z driver. Those errors were primarily on the 17 and 19 of October.
We will need to see if they continue to show up in the memory dumps.

Beyond that, I suspect the age of your BIOS is a large problem. With the release of Win8, the tie-in between the BIOS and the OS became very important - and we find that older systems cannot handle this tie-in, which results in Windows problems (such as BSOD's). Add to this the fact that the OS is still in the early beta stages - and it's a recipe for problems.

In short, if we can't fix it with removing the CPU-Z, then it's likely that the system won't handle Win10. As such I'd have to suggest that you abandon it (at least for the time being).

    Good luck!
