Windows 10: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (EasyAntiCheat.sys)

Hi so i keep getting this BSOD when i try to play a game in steam called Rust. I know the EasyAntiCheat.sys came with the game so it's not a virus or anything but i think i might have done something to mess this up. I was fixing other things on my computer using different programs and doing stuff witht he registry so i might have made corrupted this file? I don't know but here is all of the info you might need. I might be giving you stuff that is irrelevant but take it anyway xD

Dump files are usually found at c:\windows\minidump. You may need to change your settings in Windows to be able to see the files. To show hidden files select the keyboard shortcut
Win+S, type Folder Options in the Search box and click Folder Options in the drop down menu. Select View, Advanced Settings and verify that the box before "Show hidden files and folders" is checked and "Hide
protected operating system files" is unchecked. You may need to scroll down to see the second item. You should also make certain that the box before "Hide extensions for known file types" is not checked.

So i recently had problems with another BSOD and i found out it was because of DriverMax, it downloaded corrupt drivers or something like that so i uninstalled that and a whole bunch of drivers and reinstalled and that seemed to fix it. So a few days ago
i was doing some stuff in the registry and other sketchy places that i don't know a lot about to see if i could make my disk usage go down and whatever i did seemed to work but now (and i don't know if this is just a coincidence) when i try to play my game
which is on steam called "Rust" which uses EasyAntiCheat i get the BSOD. So please help me out guys:l

I wouldn't mess with your system unless you know 200% what you're doing, 200% so you also know what harm you may cause.

 

Good idea and how do i fix that though?

 

By (re)installing the software that installed the driver.

 

If it were me I would first attempt to employ a backup of my registry, failing that re-install the 'EasyAntiCheat.sys', and failing that re-install the entire game.

Sorry i still have no idea how to backup my registry and i have already uninstalled easyanticheat and they game multiple times but it never fixes anything. Also everytime i do try to play the game it asks me to reinstall easyanticheat as if it never did even though it shows that it did in my computer.

 

And idk which software installed the driver. Idk if it was easyanticheat or what*Redface i just did a search in explorer and this came up for the driver Attachment 64911

 

Ntoskrnl.exe is the kernel of Windows --> never the cause, just ignore it.

System File Check
Please try following:

• Open an admin command prompt
• Copy/paste "sfc/scannow" (without quotes) and press enter
• When it finished reboot your system
• Open again an admin command prompt
• Enter sfc/scannow again

If sfc/scannow says "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them" after the second SFC, please upload the cbs.log file located at {windows partition}\Windows\Logs\CBS\, if the file is too large try a 3rd party uploader like dropbox, onedrive, google drive, mediafire etc.
System File Check(SFC a.k.a. Windows Resource Protection) needs to have your system rebooted in order for sfc to try to fix the problems that it finds.

 

I've ran that multiple times but i haven't done it twice in a row so i'll try that right now and this is what came upw hen i typed easyanticheat. Thanks for the quick response btw! I'll get back asapAttachment 64916
